be will using a blog, (basically a web log) as a journal/portfolio
for this course. I will be posting Journal entries for you to comment
on as well as assignments and deadlines for projects.

- What are some of the universal and familiar difficulties (personal fears) you face as an artist?

The Assumptions - Take one of the assumptions from below and consider
your relationship to it. How does the assumption relate to your
feelings and thoughts toward artmaking?
- Artmaking involves skill that can be learned.
- Art is made by ordinary people.
- Making art and viewing art are different at their core.
- Definition/Identity of artist has drawbacks and benefits. What does labeling yourself as an artist do for you or not do for you personally? What does labeling yourself an artist do or not do for you as others view you?
